This is a page where I (Andy) tell what I liked and disliked about the last episode of Red Dwarf.  You can email me and discuss the show.  I will try to update this page as soon as I can after I view the episode.  NOTE: You won't understand my remarks if you haven't viewed the episode.

Episode Summary:   Kryten starts his own private television station in order to entertain the prisoners.

My Thoughts on this episode...
This episode wasn't too great.  Kryten had a lot of humor, but the episode had no real point.  I don't mean to put this episode down, but it I've seen a lot better ones.  I did find something especially funny.  On the Wednesday Night Movie, there was a preview for the movie, 'Attack of the Giant Savage Completely Invisible Aliens!'  Here are some of the funny things each character did......    ......or, CLICK HERE to see my rating of this episode

Funny Things
Rimmer  --  Lister  --  Kryten  --  Cat  --  Others
Kryten
With nail polish he painted his whole foot red.
.
He was reading a magazine under an umbrella during women's showering.
.
Lister asks Kryten, "You shower with the girls?"  Kryten replies, "It's so hideously dull I can't stand it!"
.
No one is moving, in shock of what Kryten just said, and Kryten thought that they were frozen in time.
.
When Kill Crazy brings up the idea of smuggling in a camera and taping the women shower, Kryten refuses.  Then he states, "I'm a woman and proud of it!  If you will excuse me, I'll be sitting with my fellow sisters, doing it for ourselves!"
.
During 'Shower Time' Kryten says, "...and now I'll stare at a cracked floor tile."  There was an uproar among the prisoners.  The Kryten informs, "Remember, 'Shower Time' is a pay-per-view event.  Start filling those buckets!"  Then two guards with Krytie TV shirts on walk down the isle with two buckets.  Then the inmates started filling the can with beer cans and anything they could find that was worth something.
.
Kryten was down in the dumps when he was re-clasified as a man.
.
He keeps badgering Lister about that he doesn't know 'the news' about Kochansky when he never tells Lister what 'the news' is.
.
Kryten wants Lister and Chris to have children so he can iron those 'idy, bidy, little socks.'
.
Kryten shows Lister how to make Chris' date, Tim look like a total dwebo nerd.  The technique is to put 'nerdy' stuff in Tim's quarters.  Most of the stuff is Rimmer's!
.
After Lister messes up the room, Kryten tells him that he had been set up by Kryti TV.  It was actually Mr. Ackerman's home.  He and his date were due back any second then.  It was a race against time -- broadcasted on Krytie TV!
Rimmer
He finds out from the mail that he has won a holiday get-away and the lottery.  However, he can not claim them because he is in a rail cell in deep space.
.
Rimmer says when he is reading the mail, "Tragedy!  Peterson found your (Lister) guitar on the Starbug wreckage and he's sending it here!"
.
When he finds that Lister's guitar string had been confiscated, he joyfully replies, "I fell like a man who jumped out of a plane with no parachute and landed in a hot tub at Playboy Mansion.
.
When the appeal was granted, Rimmer found out that the appeal was to have guitar strings!
Lister
In his gift to Chris, 1 bag of flour + 1 bag of flour = flowers.
Cat
He always participated in watching the Krytie TV line up.
Chris
She says, "Well, thanks to Kill Crazy that was the least enjoyable suicide mission I've ever been on!"
Holly
When Lister, Rimmer, Cat, and Kill Crazy are jealous of Kryten's feminine privileges, Holly informs, "It's times like this it make my thankful I'm just a head.
Kill Crazy
He knocked Kryten unconscious and reprogrammed him which persuade him to begin Krytie TV and sponsor, 'Shower Time.'

Best Role
This weeks best role goes to....   ....Kryten!  Even though he was sort of the bad guy, his courage to broadcast anything made this episode funny and, for the prisoners, VERY enjoyable.  Kryten, we congratulate you -- as a man. (not a woman)

My Rating
**
I give 'Krytie TV' 2 out of 5.  This episode had good humor, but not too great.
