Episode Summary: Kryten has made
a wonderful dinner.
My Thoughts on this episode...
This episode was fairly funny with a lot of interesting
drama. Here are some of the funny things each character did......

Funny Things
Lister -- Kryten
-- Cat -- Others
Kryten
When Kryten explained why he had prepared a special
surprise dinner, Dave asked, "well, why didn't you tell me?"
Then Lister realized that if Kryten had told, it wouldn't have been a surprise.
Then Kryten added, "Yeah. It would have been as surprising as that
channel 72 show, Tales of the Unexpected!"

After the others had gone to the virtual reality
Pride and Pregudust world, Kryten snuck in and booby trapped the joint!

While the rest of the crew and the Darceys were having
tea, Kryten blew their eating area up with a tank and informed, "Perhaps
I didn't make myself clear. I said supped is ready!"
.
The lobster's taste doesn't quite satisfy Mr. Lister,
so he requests some brown ketchup. Hearing this Kryten was outraged
and blew his top off...literally!

After being captured, Kryten walks around with no
head.
.
When Dave tries to force Kryten to say what his creator
was about. Kryten says, "You hide things from me." Although Kryten
knows what he was hiding. To prove it, Kryten calls Listed his childhood
nickname, Fat Boy.
Lister
After Lister attached Kryten's head, before turning
him on, Kochansky asked, "Are you sure you know what your doing?"
Dave replys, "Hey!" Chris flips the switch and Kryten shouts, "You
want ketchup with lobster?", and blows his head off again. Kris scolds
Dave and says, "You said you knew what you are doing!" Listey comes
back, "I said 'Hey!' If you would of let me finish my sentence I
would of said, "Hey...no I don't!"

On their quest to get another spare head, the crew
hide from a bad guy. While under a blanket, Lister (thinking he was
next to his dream girl, Kris Kochansky) compliments, "Gee, you smell good!"
Then Cat (who was really sitting next to him) says, "Thanks!"
.
After taking a bite of the vindiloo, Lister breathes
fire!
Cat
Fearfully, Lister and Kris complimented the lobster,
and unknowing they were playing a long, Cat asked, "Are we eating the same
thing???"
.
After Kris gave her odd theory about them planting
a bomb but not having conscious knowledge about it it turns out to be true.
When the effect occurs, Cat exclaimed, "What a fluke!"
.
Cat complains about going through an asteroid belt
because it messes up his hair!
Kochansky
After blowing up all the spare 4000 series heads,
Kris asks if anybody knew what century Kryten was made in. Cat gave
her a possible list of about 7 centuries. Then Kris says, "Well,
I'm going to ask someone who will respond with a more intelligent answer."
Walking over to the wall, she asks, "Hello, Wall. What d'you think???"
Able
This guy couldn't win Jeopardy if his life depended
on it! Able can't remember anything, cause by his constant overdoses
of harmful (to circuit boards) chemicals.
Best Role
This weeks best role goes to two series 4000's.
Congratulations to Kryten, and Able! This is both of the first nomination
for both of them! Kryten, you ARE beyond a joke! Also, our
hats go off the Able for giving his life just to save the other crew members
in which he earlier put them in grave danger.

I give 'Beyond a Joke' - 3 out of 5. Exceptional
episode with good comedy and drama.
