Current projects:
- This summer, I'll be working on the second version of the Washington High School website.
- In my spare time this summer I may work on Star Wars Defense,
the greatest game ever. The code was mostly done, but a few Java-related technical difficulties (ironically, in the graphics and
sound departments) have grounded this project for awhile.
- While I'm daydreaming in boring classes, I'll be sketching up designs for three ultra-cool programs.
- The first is SGG, a really cool online RPG/Strategy/FPS game that is entirely drawn in first-person mode.
It takes place in space, but unlike most games of this type, it doesn't have the cliche "cataclysm-rebirth" story.
Also cool is that players can build and name their own items from levels as low as elements and can mount any handheld
weapon onto the ship (and sometimes vice-versa). This will never be created, but it's a really cool idea that I'll use
to get ideas for less intricate games.
- The second that I recently put into writing is Cloud 9.0. It's not actually a brand-new program, but rather an extension
and rebuilding of "The Palace", a very cool avatar chat system. Implementing the Cloud system is much more feasible than
SGG, as I know exactly what is needed and I could take on most of the tasks required right now. Unfortunately, school is
taking a huge chunk of my time, and this is stuck in the theory stage. Recently I built a IRC-like server-client system
that I might modify to create this.
- Immediately after creating my Trader website, I had the idea of merging the SGG
and C9.0 concepts with focus on a dynamic market and single-server multiplayer system with a live community. Sounds like
a fairly idiotic concept because I'm not explaining it well.
